What’s In Your Water?

What’s the Problem?

Water Pollution, in general, has been a major environmental concern over the past few decades. Often water pollution is mainly associated with human items disposed into the ocean. In reality, this is only a small portion of the problem.

Why is this Important?

Chemical waste is an impending issue in water pollution that could be lethal to the quality of water. A lot of household items are made from these lethal qualities, yet are mass-produced daily around the world. These items then are dispersed to the population and often end up in places they shouldn’t such as the ocean. The chemicals seep into the ocean altering the quality of the ocean.

How can YOU Help?

Anyone is able to directly help out with removing chemical exposure to the ocean by monitoring products they buy. For instance, a majority of perfume products, sunscreen, and cleaning products contain chemicals that are extremely harmful to the ocean. New products are being made every day that contain little to no chemicals in them so consider turning to these as a more environmentally safe alternative!
