Mental Health In Schools

What’s the Problem?

Modern education systems have a large impact on the mental health of students, especially those in advanced classes. The rather harsh curriculum is demanding of students, causing mental illnesses to broaden.

Why Is This Important?

The pressure of academics affects the mental well-being of children, teenagers, and even adults. This can lead to chronic mental disorders which can impair parts of the brain or body. The education system can negatively influence future generations by continuing efforts to excessively challenge students.

How Can YOU Help?

If you are in the position of which your mental health is affected by extensive or difficult work, seek help by talking to a parent, friend, teacher, or counselor to express your need for change. If you are someone who witnesses a student who struggles with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, sleep disorders, or unhealthy habits, help them by talking to them about…

  • How you can help then with work or studying

  • If they need space, a distraction, or someone to listen
