Gender Inequality In Politics

What’s the Problem?

As of 2021, the World Economic Forum predicted that it will take about ten years to close the gap in gender representation in political jobs. Currently, women make up only about just over a quarter of the representatives in Congress.

Why is this Important?

Gender equality impacts all ages, backgrounds, gender diverse people, children and families. Studies have shown that equality between men and women helps promote economic growth. Some even consider gender equality a human right.

How can YOU Help?

Promote Women!

Promote women who are trying to make a difference in the world and help raise awareness of their cause. Support what they’re trying to do and spread the word about them. Examples of successful women in politics include Kamala Harris and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. They have already made such a difference in the government. Can you imagine what would happen if we had more women like them?

Change takes courage.
— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
